What is it?
A private placement is a type of capital raising in which private investors, such as venture capital firms, are given new shares in exchange for capital.
How long does it take?
The length of the process is determined by the size of the round and the maturity of the fundraising company. We break down the process into two main stages:
- Stage 1 (2-6 months): preparation for the capital raising round by improving areas in the company that can be improved, preparing investment materials, and creating the target list of potential investors
- Stage 2 (six months): structured road-show to potential investors
